LG Mocca winter wheat. Outstanding fertility – number 1 in the COBORU CCA 2021 exploratory research!

LG Mocca wheat is a unique variety of high fertility, suitable for all cultivation areas. In BSA tests in Germany, LG Mocca received the highest rating at both levels of agrotechnics (a1 and a2). In Czech UKZUZ research, it is one of the leading varieties in terms of yield. LG Mocca wheat is a class C variety with the index k (Ck), which means it is ideal for mills producing flour used in confectionery or for malt house for the production of malt for wheat beer. Thanks to the reduced protein content, LG Mocca maintains high quality parameters, which allows for a wide range of applications, including malting and the production of low-protein flour.

WARNING: The variety is not tolerant to chlorotoluron. Therefore, we do not recommend using herbicides containing this active substance on LG MOCCA plantations.

Characteristics of Mocca winter wheat:

• A medium-late variety of fodder type intended for confectionery production (for making flour and cake) i brewery towards wheat malt. Using intensive nitrogen fertilization, LG Mocca achieves very good grain quality parameters.
• It is suitable for delayed sowing and in drier places, as well as in places after cereals..
• Outstanding fertility – number 1 in COBORU research in 15 locations in Poland – 96,6 dt/ha (A1), 107 dt/ha (A2) (CCA COBORU 2021).
• Excellent cookie quality, high industrial demand.
• Good resistance to powdery mildew, brown and yellow rust, as well as septoria glume and fusarium blight. (CCA COBORU 2021).
• Coarse grain, high MTZ.
• Complete resistance to wheat midge.
