The sunflower, a tall, majestic plant with a spectacular yellow flower, often becomes an element of Polish folklore. Whole areas of sunflowers can be found in fields and gardens in villages and smaller towns. These plants often add color to roadside areas, pleasing the eyes of those traveling by car or public transport.
Many people will then stop for a moment to take a beautiful photo against the background of expressive flowers. And who among us doesn't know the taste of sunflower seeds ripening in the sun? Of course, you can buy different varieties in today's stores, seasoned with salt and spices, roasted, roasted or natural, but nothing compares to the taste of fresh sunflower seeds picked straight from a large round flower. Growing this plant is becoming more and more popular and profitable in our country, so it is worth purchasing the best quality seeds.

Growing sunflowers
Sunflower is not a particularly demanding plant. It grows luxuriantly in fertile, slightly moist and warm soils, but the constantly warming climate means that more and more areas meet these requirements. The seeds have the best conditions for growth in light soil, permeable to water and nutrients, and in soil with a neutral reaction.
The plants tolerate heat and periods without irrigation well. All our sunflower seeds are adapted to cultivation in European conditions, including capricious native soils. If we want to achieve the effect of tall flowers, we can choose the Słonecznik MAS seed variety, but otherwise it is better to choose sunflower seeds from the Słonecznik SULFONOR variety, which grows in the form of quite low plants.
Sunflower seeds should usually be sown using the spot method, as it is the most optimal. Regular rows are then created at intervals of approximately 50 cm, while in individual rows the distance between the seeds should be up to approximately 30 cm so that the plant has adequate space for growth in the future. We make holes for the seeds with an average depth of 5 cm.
In Poland, the best time for sowing sunflowers is mid or end of April, but sometimes it is also done at the beginning of May. Plants usually mature at the end of summer and are manifested by a slight browning of the flower petals. The seeds we recommend are fast-maturing varieties, especially Sunflower SULFONOR, which has a very fast growth phase.

Economical sunflower harvest
For everyone who would like to try their hand at growing sunflower seeds (both for their own needs, for sale or for wider industrial use), we offer sunflower seeds in large and efficient packages.
Our products contain as many as 150 seeds, which is enough to sow a 2-hectare area. The costs associated with purchasing seeds and preparing the soil for sowing will pay off after the first season. Our seeds produce abundant harvests on many arable lands of varying quality.
Growing sunflowers, both on a small and large scale, is currently one of the most profitable crops. For comparison, the cost of growing sunflower is much lower than growing the also well-known rapeseed.
Sunflowers do not like shade, so they should be placed in places where they have access to natural light at least most of the time. Therefore, it is better to avoid growing this plant in shaded areas, near numerous buildings, tall structures or forests.
Sunflower cultivation is best done in larger open spaces, fields and bright plantations. It is also worth taking care to scare off nearby birds, which can cause real havoc in the field or garden. If we remember the above tips, we can fully use the potential of this plant and collect a satisfactory harvest.

Making the best use of sunflower seeds
Most often, sunflowers are grown for flowers or grains. This first technique is used to obtain fertilizer materials. In turn, obtaining sunflower seeds is becoming more and more valuable.
Grains can be intended simply for direct consumption or as an addition to other products or meals, such as additions to baked goods or salads. Large amounts of seeds are also used to produce sunflower oil, which is much cheaper to obtain than rapeseed oil. In Poland, growing sunflower seeds for oil is most popular in Lower Silesia and the Opole region, but sunflower seeds are increasingly grown in various parts of our country.

Why is it worth buying our seeds?
We present top-class products, undemanding and cheap compared to seeds of other plants, e.g. rapeseed. Sunflower, as a plant with a deep root system, is able not only to adapt to many types of soil, but also to improve the physical and structural properties of the soil.
