Cover Crop Mix 14 – natural support for the soil
Cover crops are an ecological way to improve soil fertility and its regeneration. They create a natural green fertilizer that enriches the soil with organic matter, improves its structure and increases the humus content. The carefully selected composition of this mixture includes plants with similar water and soil requirements, thanks to which each of them can develop evenly, without domination of other species.
Mixture composition:
- Vetch - 55%
- Mustard - 32%
- Buckwheat - 8%
- Facelia - 5%
Thanks to the high content of vetch, the mixture effectively binds nitrogen in the soil, which has a positive effect on the yields of subsequent crops. Mustard has a phytosanitary effect, limiting the development of pests and soil pathogens. Buckwheat and phacelia supplement the mixture with additional structure-forming and nectar-producing properties.
It is ideal as a catch crop after cereals, and also as a pre-crop for plants requiring fertile, well-aerated soil, e.g. vegetables or corn.
