TEUTO – the first, extremely fertile variety of winter barley in sowing units!

A new variety of multi-row winter barley characterized high winter hardiness, high grain size and very high resistance to diseases. Teuto barley grain is coarse with very good uniformity, density and low rump content. Teuto winter barley is characterized by plants of medium height and good resistance to lodging. It has a gene for resistance to barley yellow mosaic virus BaYMV - 1. This variety is distinguished by its tolerance to ramulariosis. Truto is characterized by very high bushiness and, among other things, this is the reason that Teuto winter barley is produced in sowing units. Teuto is a long-term COBORU model.

 

 

 

Key features of Teuto winter barley:

• It is resistant to barley yellow mosaic virus BaYMV – 1.
• It is tolerant to ramulariasis.
• It has good bushiness. It is recommended to lower the sowing rates.
• Teuto barley ears are characterized by high grain size. Moreover, the grain is coarse with very good uniformity, density and low proportion of rump.
• Teuto is characterized by high winter hardiness and very good disease resistance.
• Teuto is characterized by plants of medium height with good resistance to lodging. However, in more intensive cultivation technologies, it is recommended to use a growth regulator. Teuto barley is a medium early variety.
• It is produced in sowing units. Recommended sowing rate – 3 units/ha.
