Why Buckwheat SMUGA?
- High Resistance – SMUGA buckwheat is characterized by excellent resistance to spring cold and periodic droughts, which makes it an ideal plant for Polish climatic conditions. It is a medium-early plant, with a vegetation period of 85-90 days.
- Ecological and Phytomeliorative – Buckwheat is a natural ally of the soil. Thanks to its phytosanitary properties, it prevents the development of nematodes in the soil and suppresses the development of weeds by producing a large amount of aboveground mass. It is also valued as a cover crop, enriching the soil with valuable ingredients.
- Yield at the highest level – SMUGA buckwheat is characterized by a very high grain yield, which can be up to 16-30q/ha, depending on soil and climatic conditions. The plants reach a height of 95 to 115 cm.
- Gluten-free and healthy – Buckwheat groats and flour are particularly appreciated by people with metabolic diseases because buckwheat does not contain gluten. It is a healthy choice for people with celiac disease or gluten intolerance. Buckwheat is also used in the food industry to produce groats, flakes, flour and bakery products.
- Universal use – In addition to nutrition, buckwheat is used in the production of ecological pillows, mats and mattresses. Beekeepers appreciate it as a melliferous plant, from which buckwheat honey is made - dark, spicy in taste and especially recommended for colds.
- Seeding rate: 60-90 kg/ha
Perfect Growing Conditions
Buckwheat grows best on light soils rich in nutrients. Avoid planting it in very dry, heavy and wet soils, which may negatively affect the plant's development. SMUGA buckwheat needs moderate weather conditions - frosts and hot days may disturb its proper development, especially during the flowering period.
By choosing SMUGA buckwheat, you are choosing a proven variety that not only brings high yields, but also contributes to improving soil quality and health. Thanks to its unique properties, it is appreciated by both farmers and consumers looking for healthy, gluten-free products.
